Suvarna News is a Kannada 24x7 live news channel operated by Asianet News Network, a news media subsidiary of Jupiter Capital Private Limited. The majority stakeholder of the company is Rajiv Chandrasekhar, a Rajya Sabha member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Launched on 31 March 2008, Suvarna news 24x7 Kannada live streaming channel was the third news channel to be aired in the Kannada language. The channel has broadcast news and social media swag on various occasions. Suvarna News personnel also provided technical support to install NaMo TV before the 2019 Indian general election.
Suvarna News was launched as a 24x7 Kannada news channel on 31 March 2008. The channel became the third Kannada language news channel with the launch. It was launched by Jupiter Capital Private Limited's media venture Asianet Communications Limited under the brand name Suvarna (Golden). The flagship channel of the brand, Suvarna TV (later renamed Star Suvarna) was launched 9 months back in June 2007. Suvarna News was a news bulletin on Suvarna TV before the launch of its own channel in 2008.

In November 2008, Star India acquired Asianet Communications, leaving its news media. As a result, Suvarna News was placed under the Asianet News Network, owned by Jupiter Capital.
The channel has a history of frequent changes in editorial leadership. According to Shashidhar Bhat, the channel's first and former editor, Rajiv Chandrasekhar holds editorial control through the company's corporate management. The channel has also been documented for broadcasting fabricated news on several occasions; Examples were taken from unverified social media hoaxes.
